SEEDLAB3: VISION MACHINE FOR DIGITAL DETECTION AND MEASUREMENT OF AIR BUBBLES INCLUDED IN TRANSPARENT OR COLOURED GLASS

This digital machine measures and detects automatically air bubbles in clear or colored glass, and is a good example of the know-how of the LASER METROLOGY company in the field of mecha-optronics. In particular it incorporates a digital image capture, digital 3-axis (1 rotation + 2 translation), a PLC-based 16-bit microcontroller connected to an integrated industrial PC with a numeric code and a Windows software that automates the entire process. Using a linear camera on board, equipped with appropriate optics, it produces a synchronized image capture to digital motion translation and rotation. In particular, a powerful light of 200 white LEDs has been specially designed to traverse the glass bottles of all colors and all thicknesses. An algorithm automatically adjusts the Photometry in order to work with a constant mean gray level on clear, high contrast and not saturated images. The numerical resolution with which faults are measured is equal to 20μm.
