The hybrid radiometer RHC30 patented in 1995, has in its 3.3 version a new electronics with the last generation microcontroller HCS12 from Motorola. In this version, the power of this new microcontroller has allowed us to fully exploit the informations obtained simultaneously from the photodiode and the thermopile that fits out the sensor. The instrument offers today unmatched measurement capabilities, it can characterize a laser in all operating modes: continuous wave (CW), single pulse, train of several pulses and fixed frequency pulse. Modes of measurement, 100% digital, quick and calibrated, have been developed for this occasion from the signal delivered by the photodiode whose saturation is never reached, and this independently of the incident peak power thanks to 8 levels of gains managed by automated procedures.
